Neighborhood

The northernmost region of Manhattan, as the name suggests, is Upper Manhattan. This area is bordered by the borough of the Bronx and West 110^th Street. Originally occupied by Dutch immigrants, Upper Manhattan soon transformed into a largely recognized area of the borough. Today, you can find plenty of different retail and corporate locations who take advantage of the region’s well-known streets. For example, all kinds of stores ranging from Bed Bath and Beyond to Columbia Wine Co. are all over, as are plenty of eateries including the popular Levain’s Bakery and Seasoned Vegan. Corporate offices like Medicaid, Spectrum, Kenmore, and more are also located in Upper Manhattan. This area is convenient, as tons of transportation is available. The neighborhood is so large that nearly every form of transportation you need is here. They include but are not limited to the 1, 2, 3, A, B, C, D, 4, 5, and 6 trains as well as the M2, M3, M4, M10, and M104 buses.
