Known for its nightlife and young culture, musicians, artists, and the classic hippies are popular in East Village. Once owned by a Dutch Governor, this area was largely populated with immigrants from Germany, Poland, and Ukraine. In the mid-1960’s East Village started to grow into what it’s known for today. Get from place to place with their many buses including the M21, M15, and M8, along with the F, L, 4, and 6 trains.
