As the name suggests, Koreatown, in midtown Manhattan, is a cultural Korean enclave. Also referred to as K-Town, its location as part of the Garment District began when a wave of Korean immigrants entered New York City. Drawn to the landmarks, cultural businesses were set up. Today, this area is becoming greatly residential. This small but growing neighborhood has many retail stores within its boundaries of Broadway, 5^th Avenue, and West 31^st and 33^rd Streets. For example, you can find GNC, Nature Republic, and Koryo Books. Along with various eateries, there are also office tenants including Shinhan Bank America and Almar Sales Co. Because this community is only two blocks in area, only a few buses are available. These are the SIM 1C, 3, 3C, 4C, and 33C. There are other options close by though.
