The neighborhood of Hudson Square is located in Lower or Downtown Manhattan and is best known for its historic federal style residential design. In earlier history, Hudson Square was home to the first African-American newspaper, Freedom’s Journal. This strong background and culture draw historians to this classic area. Retail stores such as Concepts NYC and Ellen Christine Couture operate here. This location, though, is more known for its office tenants. Warby Parker New York City HQ and Showroom, Google, and Disney are three popular ones in the area. Google and Disney recently released their plan to open their headquarters in Hudson Square which will likely draw a significant amount of attention in the coming years. Located between West Street, Canal Street, 6th Ave, and West Houston Street is tons of transportation – the 1, 2, A, C, and E trains, as well as the M20 and M21 buses.
