One of the most recognizable areas of Manhattan is the Upper West Side, otherwise abbreviated as the UWS. Bounded by Central Park West and the Hudson River along with West 159th and 110th Streets, this large area has much to do. Once land traversed by the Lenape people has since been transformed into streets lined with retail spots for consumers to enjoy. Shops like Urban Outfitters, Marshalls, Whole Foods, and Victoria’s Secret are just a few of the popular ones. In addition to these, corporate companies of the Sesame Workshop, Pick a Bagel, and the Toy Soldier Company set up their offices here. Because the area is so large and familiar, tons of public transportation is available. Some common lines include the 1, 2, 3, A, B, and C trains, as well as the M5, M104, M11, M7, and M16 buses. The Upper West Side is a great spot for any business looking to open an office or storefront in Manhattan. To view the Upper West Side on Google Maps, click here.
